Celebrating Cell Communities

Last weekend Pope Francis met with Parish Cell Communities.  It was the official recognition and approval of the Parish Cell System of Evangelisation.

            A parish cell is a group of 4-12 people who meet every 2 weeks with

            a view to fostering greater community spirit and an awareness of God

            in our everyday lives.  It provides a place where friendships are

            formed and faith is deepened through prayer and reflection on the


To celebrate this occasion the Cabra West Cell Community invite you to a Cell gathering in Credo (at back of Church) on Tuesday next, 8th September at 8pm.  It will be an opportunity to experience a cell meeting and our guest speaker will be Noel Ryan from Ballinteer Parish.  Noel is from the group that first introduced parish cells into Ireland in 1990.

World Youth Day Krakow 2016

World Youth Day 2016 in Krakow

  The Archdiocese of Dublin is offering the opportunity for young people aged 16-30 to come to World Youth Day (WYD) in Krakow in July 2016.  The diocese is bringing two groups: teenager (16-18) and Young Adults (over 18s).  Places are limited.  The World Youth Day offers fun, reflection, music and prayer as well as the opportunity to celebrate your faith with people from all over the World.  Young Adults (18+) are invited to sign up for a leadership course called Anchor.  If you need more information please go to www.evangelisation.ie

National Cell Seminar

The National Cell Seminar in Ballinteer, Dublin 16, celebrating 25 years of Cells in Ireland - A Vision for Parish Community - how a cell community can contribute to the parish. "For where two or three come together in my name, I am there with them."(Mt 18:20). The National Cell Seminar celebrating 25 years of Parish Cells in Ireland will be held in St. John the Evangelist Parish, Ballinteer, Dublin 16 in October 2015. Starting Friday evening the 2nd of October and finishing Sunday the 4th of October at 2pm, this seminar will explore the role of the cells in making a difference in parishes in Ireland and worldwide. The seminar will include participation in a hime cell meeting, keynote speakers, Celebration of the Eucharist, a Time of Reflection and Healing, Workshops and question& answer time. Certificate in Spirituality and Development

The Adult Education Certificate in Spirituality and Human Development is a two year part-time evening programme run by the Marino Insititue of Education. The programme takes place on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:30pm along with six Saturday workshops, with 15 modules dealing with key issues in human and spiritual development. The Course aims to provide students with a broad overview of some key comtempary human and spiritual issues.
